the soul loss of the world
I don't know what to say anymore but I will try again and again to find the words that awaken people to take action.
Palestine is being annihilated beyond what the word genocide can hold or capture. Children are wailing without limbs, without parents, without food, without a future. As a mother, I will not let these children die in our silence.
I refuse to normalize the dissociation between our everyday lives and mass murder. I refuse to normalize genocide.
I refuse to return to normal.
Our collective soul loss has only deepened with this rhetoric in modern times, starting with when we decided to let a world-wide pandemic disable and murder millions so that we could return to a culture of mass consumption. A culture where the only rituals are the rituals of addiction.
This is what our ruling class has decided will be normal. But we do not have to fall in line, like good little consumer soliders. We do not have live like nothing is horribly wrong with the world. We do not have to pretend that war and mass murder are ever okay while we ignore and numb our soul's nagging sensation of spiritual death.
The world must stop for Palestine. There is no going back to normal. If you want a better world you have to make a sacrifice for it. All spells and prayers require human sacrifice to make their unfurling a reality.
May our souls be haunted by their loss and our silence until we finally are courageous enough and soulful enough to sacrifice our time, energy, and lives for the children, the people, and the land. Until Palestine is free. Until western imperialism is forever banished, forever broken... forever and never again...
This is the only sane thing to do anymore.
After all is said and done, there will be a reckoning for the politicians who signed away their souls as they signed the bombs that were dropped in Occupied Palestine...the politicians who voted for the funding...the politicians and presidents who lied...the journalists who reported lies as truth and stayed silent...the universities that helped ICE kidnap students...the neighbors who were silent...
After all is said and done, there will be truth, and there will be consequences.
